Tim Geißen

Tim Geißen joined REWE Group in mid-2016, where he was initially responsible for the implementation and commissioning of the Intralogistics-IT in the Automated Food Fulfillment Center in Cologne for the REWE Home Delivery Service. Since 2020, he and his team have been holistically responsible for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and processes in the context of warehouse automation and have accompanied REWE Group-wide the new construction and optimization of automated locations from the initial idea to the steady state.

Tim studied logistics at TU Dortmund University and worked as a logistics consultant at Fraunhofer IML for almost 10 years. In addition to the selection and introduction of Warehouse Management Systems and strategic IT consulting for a wide range of customers and industries, he focuses primarily on the cross-company design of industry standards, such as the VDI guideline 3601 for WMS.
