Dear visitors of the Logistics Summit 2024,

My name is Richard Wildenrother, and I am very much looking forward to giving you my perspective on the topic of "Logistics in the age of digitalization" at the upcoming Logistics Summit.

My path into the exciting world of logistics started during my studies at the University of Passau with interesting internships at Siemens and Porsche AG. When I started my career at Procter&Gamble AG in Schwalbach/Taunus in 2011, I focused on the area of Demand&Supply Planning - which I was then able to deepen further at Hilti Deutschland AG in Kaufering/Munich from 2014. In order to broaden both my personal horizons and my professional spectrum, I switched to Operations in 2016 and took over the management of the warehouse locations at Hilti Switzerland. From there I was able to develop further in 2020 to take over the overall responsibility of Hilti Switzerland Logistics from 2020, which included the areas of Transportation, Prefabrication, Projects & Specials in addition to Warehousing.
From April 2024, I was given the opportunity to move back to Kaufering/Germany as General Manager of Hilti Deutschland Logistik GmbH with the aim of building a local logistics setup tailored to the German market organization based on the experience gained in the Swiss market.
