Dorit Borrmann

Dorit Borrmann is professor of mobile robotics at the University of Applied SciencesWürzburg-Schweinfurt since 2022 where she is educating the roboticists of the future. Before, she was scientific coordinator of the graduate course “Satellite Technology” at the University of Würzburg from where she also holds a doctorate degree (Dr. rer. nat). She has many years of experience in laser scanning and 3D point cloud processing algorithm development for robotic applications. Her main research interests are 3D environment mapping, multi-sensor fusion, exploration and scene understanding. She participated in RoboCup, ELROB, ESA Pangaea-X campaigns, the ESA ESTEC/ESRIC Space Resources Challenge as well as the Daedalus OSIP and CDF studies conducted by ESA and the AMADEE24 Mars Simulation.
