There is no intralogistics without software. This may sound a bit general at first, but when you consider
the fast development of requirements for the internal movement of goods, the fundamental importance
of integrated software solutions becomes clear. Software is used to collect data in order to make better
business decisions. Software is used to optimize the flow of goods and resources. Software is the
enabler for profitable logistics automation. My name is Christoph Hock and I am Head of Sales
Software Solutions at KION ITS EMEA in the Automated & Integrated Solutions division. I have
worked with software solutions all my professional life, from IT to production with SCADA and MES
applications to logistics. I like to describe myself as a " practical person" - this applies not only to my
beginnings in the pharmaceutical industry, where I worked at Ciba Vision/Alcon, for example, but also
to my current position at KION ITS EMEA. One question is always at the heart of my work: what
