Michael Gschwandtner has been working for LKW WALTER for over 25 years. In his current role as Director Digital Business, he is a member of the operational management team.

Together with his team, he focuses on developing digital solutions for the FTL (Full Truck Load) core business. Through the use of digital prototypes, important insights are gained that serve as a basis for decision-making in order to roll out solutions on a broader basis.

Every year, more than 1,700,000 FULL TRUCK LOADS are organized throughout Europe as well as Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Since 1984, LKW WALTER has been a pioneer in the development of combined rail/road transport and short sea shipping. The shift from road transport to Combined Transport contributes significantly to the reduction of pollutant emissions, especially the greenhouse gas CO2. In 2023, CO2 emissions could be reduced by 329,000 tons.
